i think the equivalent would be using a very textured grunge type of brush with big opacity and build color blocks only .. more like a light study?Β
I wish i had an idea on how to edit the lineart digitally in a way to make it look good...Β

I don't know how to do it either. I'm good at creating photoshop brushes, but I can't seem to make one that reacts like a pen.Β
(Not yet.) If I figure it out, I'll let you know. Your drawing style might benefit well from a new brush, I'll try to figure one out :]

hmm that's easy . you just take the second brush from normal photoshop , get into brush settings and lower spacing to 0 then use all the 3 options that go with the brush from top panel( the always pressure for opacity+airbrush + pressure for size ) and then i guess it could work with some texture on top after you did the lineart or maybe you can add some texture in the brush itself from brush options-texture panel.. I mean that's how i saw every tutorial gets the "pen like" brush done ..Β

I create my own brushes with minimal use of the presets. I've experimented a lot.Β
My brushes are probably simpler than all that.Β

I've watched a couple dozen of those tutorials. That one looks good but not the look I'm going for.Β
The easiest way is to draw with an actual pen, hehe. I used to love it, I should expose myself to it again.Β

i agree ! this is why i'm practicing more ink and pencils atm even though i go back to photoshop daily for random sketchesΒ
that's what i find closest to pen when working in Ps though... i downloaded a lot of brushes resembling but this type of brush edit helps me the most when it comes to sketchingΒ
