Animation idea suggested and requested by ~mysterydragoness using her OC character.Used this idea to make the Rainbow Dash version.

I am looking to put something like this in a PMV I am planning on doing in the future. Would you happen to have a tutorial, download or whatever that I could use to replicate it for my own OC? I do have After Effects if that is needed. I'll understand if you don't want to give it away though...

The effect was all done inside of SFM itself, no After effects post stuff.
I really would share it if I could, but...I dont really have any way I CAN share the particles.
The way it was edited inside SFM was several different particles, individually edited in that scene, and not saved as a reuseable/shareable particle system. As far as I know you cant re-save modified particles like that. It's pretty much locked to that one save file I have. I think I used a modified Medic particle from TF2. Dont remember what it was called, but its one of them...
As far as tutorials... particles are really a tough thing to just teach without a lot of practice on your own. I always point to Argos videos for the basics: youtu.be/JoppWv-mwxc?list=UUtJ…
But again though, you really have to mess with them and take them apart yourself to figure out what controls do what.
