Finally I finished the brook horse I made for Escaron ! ^^
She wrote a book and this is a character from her book. Here it is coming out from the actual book. To be used as a bookstand.

This is Escaron s version of the brook horse (bäckahäst):
An ancient and vicious water spirit that dwells on the bottom of a deep forest lake and has control over all water. Out of age the body has begun to dissolve and become one with the lake - its true apperane that of a rotting corpse. Though most often it hides this and instead take the shape of a beautiful white horse or a man that enthrall its victims and lure them into its domains and an awaiting watery grave.

EDIT:
Thank you SO much for the DD! Didn't even notice it at first because I've been away from home for a week, what a great surprise to come home to! Thank you all for the support! <3

Isn't this much like the legend of the nøkken?

It sure is Bäckahästen (the brook horse) was in Nordic mythology and folklore a brook spirit or Näcken (Nøkken) in it's horse shape - which is not it's true form but it uses this trick to lure children into riding on it's back and then drowns them in the water. There's probably many versions of Näcken and Bäckahästen. And Linda/Escaron made her own version with this as inspiration.

Oh, cool!

The brook horse sounds a lot like the kelpie of Scottish legends, which also likes to appear as a beautiful horse or pony until you get on its back to ride it, and then when it starts to run, you realize you're stuck to its back and can't dismount when it leaps down into the deep water and you drown.

(As wikipedia points out, it's also one of those stories you use to scare your children into staying away from dangerous places like riverbanks and bogs.)

You've done a beautiful job with this one--both the sculpting and the perfect paint to match it, water and weed and bone and rotting flesh. Well done!
