Instead of being hit full on with the spell he did actually manage to almost get out of the way in time. Keyword almost because now his life is on a timer. The crystals growing out of him are very painful and it can get quite gory as well, his soul also has crystals growing out of it in this Au since this spell is meant to kill unlike the OG. Also he never really cared for Dream and Nightmare in this Au and had plans on leaving them but then the whole spell thing happened and now he's an amnesiac with a bad case of short term memory. Also, depending on the outcome of Dreamswap, he can either turn into a full crystal (Radiant!Nightmare ending), he successfully fights off the growth but becomes a crystal monster instead (worst outcome ending) or he dies a painful and agonizing death (Dream and Nightmare call truce)

so yeah, no happy endings for this fella in Dreamswap lol.

so Lucid didn't really change much for Dreamswap since he wasn't "corrupted" or anything in OG. also no, he still isn't canon, he's just my guilty pleasure of the whole "long lost sibling" trope people do in fandoms since i never did it before haha-

also i shadowed out his eyes cuz i was to lazy to draw crystals growing out of them XD hooray for laziness!
