Occasionally, while fishing, you select a nice, juicy worm, cast.. and wait. And wait. And reel in, only to find the bait suspiciously missing.

Here's someone to blame.

It happens all the time to me. And here I was thinking it was a smart fish.

A common misconception, that!

Very engaging colors, and a nice composition - it resembles a tapestry, or the portrait miniatures once popular in the 18th century. He has a really great expression, it’s devious but sweet, and I love the gesture of his taking the worm to his mouth while turning away. In his legs, though, I get a bit confused as the anatomy - it almost looks like he’s crossing his legs, but I’m just not sure. I think some attention to the structure of the leg on our left would really help this painting. Also, the hook isn’t quite obvious at first - only after I read the description did I really get what was going on, which is a shame, since it’s such a great concept. I think if the hook was simply a different color than him it would be much more apparent what was happening. This is so cute, and a little clarification of the shapes would really make it sing!

Got'cha.. The hook shows somewhat better in reality, since it and the line are both drawn with metallic paint. Very good point about the anatomy; I think the entire thing will have to be redone in a slightly different format, along with Moonfish. .. Basically, he's supposed to be grasping the line with one foot, to give it some slack and to not set off the bobber.

Thank you for taking the time out to critique it. :3

Not all critters need to be large to make an impact. *Nods sagely*. In fact, it's the smallest that do the most damage.

err, ill disagree strongly, as someone who loves weapons of mass destruction, size IS everything (and also as a war strategist, size isnt everything but its still very important(aka tanks)
welll when it comest to critters size can viry, the smalllest f them use poison, bigger ones use pure power. so when it comes to damage... bigger critters are much better than small critters

you know what? I dont even know why this is so long

Let me put it this way: what kills more people per year, malaria or lions?
