I've worked about two weeks on this drawing. I have to apologize for one, and I had to take a photo of this because I just bought a new drawing pad not too long ago. It is about 18 x 24. Two, I just bought a picture frame today that was on sale for $7.00 if you wondered about the reflection of me in the picture since my new scanner is too small for this picture.Anyway, I did this drawing because not too long ago, I thought of Jumpstart songs from my favorite childhood videogames. After that, though, I started thinking of Freddi Fish. I played the YouTube Videos of the songs from Jumpstart 2nd Grade Math, and then I watched the video for the Freddi Fish game. Oh yes, the childhood inspiration came to me!
Oh my gosh, I look back on my childhood thinking, why did I give up on this stuff, and should I go back to it, especially for not playing for so many years?Shoot, I don't even remember the last time I played Freddi Fish or the other Humongous Entertainment games.
In another anyway, this is a picture of Freddi as a grown-up. I gave her a slight change on her eyes and her fins. Doesn't she look pretty as a grown-up? Yes, I gave her eyelashes and more extended fins. This is all done in pencils and colored pencils.

same here, I have the haunted school house game on my tablet. By the way, did you know that humongous had their own toy line? I remember I got all of the character plushies on my 9th birthday. I don't know what happened to them. I have putt-putt still.Β

You know, I always wondered if maybe the Squid Father wasn't at all happy about not obtaining the Kelp Seed treasure [by "growing some kelp", he'd probably intend to sell the kelp on the underwater equivalent of the black market and make a backhanded profit from those starving fish who're willing to pay--or else!--and keep all the money to himself] or getting only one toy intended by Luther as a gift. The absence of the two sharks after the first two games led me to believe for years that the Squid Father punished them severely out of anger and spite for their incompetence as such and the meddling of the "Freddi Fish" he'd been told about. What do you think?Β

The only Freddi Fish game I'd managed to get my hands on was Freddi Fish 3: The case of the stolen conch shell, I remember getting it as one of those free prizes in a Honey nut Cheerios box Β
Beautiful drawing, definitely worth the effort! The coloring and shading is so well done, especially on the fins and the pearl. She does look quite pretty all grown up! I kind of wonder if Luther would look like too, haha.
