Description
This is a set of six pre-made designs based on places and birds that I saw during my trip out west last summer! Only six of the 5 total Aequis types are represented in this set, but the other five will make appearances later this year, if I'm able!

These designs are "on-base" (new and improved!) and feature more simplistic designs and color schemes. Base tier designs will not feature rare traits, and also represent the very cheapest designs I will offer: These simple "ref sheets" are smaller than the higher tier designs, but they can be shipped to you if you wish! Each design is drawn using Copic multiliners and colored pencils on smooth bristol paper.

TO CLAIM: Submit a comment stating which # design you'd like. I will respond to your comment verifying you are first to claim said design, then I will note you asking for your email/paypal so I can send a paypal invoice for the design. At this point, specify if you'd like the original to be shipped to you, otherwise a full scan of the original art will be sent to you. All payments to be made via Paypal invoices. Payments should be made within 48 hours of me verifying your claim, failure to do so will make the design available for sale to others. For shipping, $5 USD within the US, and $10 for international.

1. Desert: Condor. Height: 14.2 hh at withers. Wingspan: 28 ft. A striking, nearly monochromatic Aequis, this desert type has vivid coloration on their exposed skin. The coloration of their facial feathers eludes to a striking bare-headed appearance, with exposed skin around the eyes and under the throat. An impressive, soft drooping crest is complimented by long, dramatic "eyebrow" feathers. Price: $45 USD. CLAIMED!

2. Southern Temperate Arboreal: Western Tanager. Height: 9.2 hh at withers. Wingspan: 16 ft. A strikingly colored, smaller Aequis, this one makes itself at home in dense, lush forests, but can handle some harsh weather. The expressive crest on the head contrasts with the smooth neck feathering, and they sport a forked tail. Price: $50 USD. CLAIMED!

3. Tropical Terrestrial: Grand Prismatic Spring. Height: 13.2 hh at withers. Wingspan: 22 ft. A ground-dwelling Aequis of tropical forests, this one's feathers make it stand out in a crowd! Blue and green feathers sport iridescence, as do the dazzling eyespots on their wings and tail. Also molts into breeding plumage, which consists of six long, filamentous plumes that grow out from under the back covert feathers (I did forget to add this detail, so I'll be fixing that in the final art!). Striking pattern of bare skin around the eye. Price: $75 USD CLAIMED!

4. Grasslander: Pronghorn. Height: 11.2 hh at withers, 22 ft wingspan. A swift Aequis, both on the wing and on foot, with a stiff crest in two rows down the back of the neck, and a distinct beard of bristly feathers on the underside of the lower jaw. This one sports warm golden russets and browns in the fashion of the American Pronghorn. Price: $45 USD CLAIMED!

5. Tropical Arboreal: Violet Green Swallow, Female plumage. Height: 10 hh at withers, 18 ft wingspan. This little lady is larger than your usual trop. arboreal type, and coupled with her striking iridescence, make her a stunning individual. Acrobatic flier, at home in tropical forests, where she easily flits through dense trees. Breeding plumage: lengthened, plumose neck hackles, tail coverts elongate and sport trailing "flags." Price: $55 USD CLAIMED!

6. Northern Temperate Arboreal: Scrub Jay. Height: 10.2 hh at withers, 20 ft wingspan. Dazzling iridescent blue gradients merge with warm greys and whites in this tough Aequis. At home in northern forests, they are aerobatic and strong, with long rounded wings and long wedge tails. A long sharp crest on the head merges into long, thick throat feathers. Price: $50 USD CLAIMED!
