I went to a falconry display yesterday. This is a tawny owl named Pip - I painted him to put on a card for my aunt who loves owls.~Watercolour

Owls are so neat. And Pip is an adorable name.
It reminds me of both LOTR, for obvious reasons, and also a pony I worked with in Ireland by the name of Pippet.

I worked with a shepherd named Pip, it stopped me from associating the name with LoTR fairly quickly!
This Pip was a rather cute owl - they cast him to show us how to examine owls and he fell asleep. Then tried to bite the handler XD

I know one person that doesn't like owls. He claims that pigeons are better than owls, but it's ok we all know he's wrong.

well, I like pigeons a bit better than owls (because my uncle used to have them and they were absolutely cute!) but you can't compare them X)

Haha well his reasoning for liking pigeons better is because he finds it irresistible when they walk along bobbing their heads - he has to bob his head along too. Weiiiird XD
