This is really amazing. I've seen this first some months ago and I haven't been sure how you did it. I couldn't belive that this is done with pencil. I really like it that the front eyelashes are a little bit blurred. Also the perspective is great choosen. I really like it that the tear goes to the top of the paper. The darker and lighter parts- all of your picture is well choosen. Do you think a lot about your pictures before drawing them?
How many water-studys did you do to be able to make it that realistic?

also, just checked the link photo,
is definitely photoshopped.
how do I know? because the tear is coming directly from the pupil, with no surface contace elsewhere. tears are formed in the tear duct, the little pink bit at the nose-corner of the eye. it would need to leave watery residue across the surface of the eye to reach the pupil. but also the model would be forced to blink as the tear touched her pupil; as nothing can sit on top of the eyeball lense without forcing a jerking response from the eye, what we call a blink of the eye.

I expected as much - I am not sure you would be able to get such a perfect droplet forming - even after hours of trying! Still i love the idea and the concept.
Thanks for commenting
