The first one is pretty good if a bit generic and kind of 'ends in the middle', me and my brother are both holding hope that Rage 2 is going to continue on but we're pretty sure it will either be a parallel story or a reboot. It looks like it's going to be really great though, Id are pretty great at making first person shooters and even though the ending was a bit sudden I loved the first so once I can afford it I will definitely get it.

But I heard the game isn't coming out on Steam, which is the easiest way for me to get PC games. Guess I'll have to get it on PS4.

All they really need to do differently in this one is commit to telling a full story even if it's contained within a larger narrative world? The ending of Rage is such a non-event I can't even think what actually happens and it's barely been a year if that since I beat it (sharing my 360 generates a very long backlog of games). That and a little bit of the inevitable repetition/fetch questing that happens in all open world games so doesn't really irritate is all that's wrong with the original. I'm also still not super keen on first-person narrative delivery (ie standing still in place and listening to someone drone on in front of you like Skyrim, Fallout, Bioshock etc) so it would maybe be nice if it had some cinematic cut-scenes instead of 'stare at this guy for 20 minutes while he explains a key plot point', but that's a personal issue I have with FPS games rather than a failing of the game.
Ugh. I just read up on that. It will be coming via a new Bethesda games service client, so I guess you'll need to download that and install it? I miss the days when you went to a shop, bought a CD copy of a game, took it home, put in the serial number and away you went, even though there is a great deal of convenience to stuff like Steam. I'm guessing if Bethesda are forcing their companies off Steam we can kiss goodbye to the annual QuakeCon sale, I sincerely hope that also won't mean the existing Bethesda Steam games being delisted like Skyrim, Fallout, all the prior ID software games etc etc.
