Description I do not think this came out too great to be honest. The heiroglyphics read: My name is Atem. I am the pharaoh of Egypt.
I am keeping it basic until I feel comfortable with writing in heiroglyphics.
Enjoy !

I used paint pens. I drew it out in pencil then outlined what I wanted in pen then painted with paint pens. The heiroglyphics I drew in pencil, then pen and finally paint pens as well. Is this helpful?

Yeah, i have been studying them since I was ten; at the time all that I read about was ancient Egypt XD and part of that was reading heiroglyphics. The difficult part is going from English to Ancient Egyptian because the alphabet is nothing like ours for example there are two different symbols for the letters A,C,E,G,I,and U. Then three different symbols for S, and T. Then for different symbols for O !I still have a long ways to go before I feel comfortable to write in this without having to refer to this chart that I have.

Wow, that's great! I've always liked Egypt and I've always wanted to know heiroglyphics but I didn't know where to start (and well, I still don't know ).
Oh yeah, it's probably really hard, but you are doing great, keep going.. and if you want to teach someone, I'm available!

Btw, I'm looking for some books (fictional or not) about ancient Egypt, any suggestion?

um let me see here there is one book that is a beginners to reading EH. That is :

Ancient Egyptian calligraphy : a beginner's guide to writing hieroglyphs / Details Fischer, Henry George.

That is what I recommend this is probably the 50th time that I have put a hold on this book. Then

The woman who would be pharaoh : a novel of ancient Egypt / Details
Book Klein, William (William Richard)

I have only read this one twice but it is a good book too.

Hope this helps.
