Dynamic poses! I love them, love drawing them, love playing with them, and 's latest contest was the perfect excuse to put pencil to paper. Unfortunately, as I am offering a free commission for the first prize winner, I am unable to compete, but it was fun nonetheless.

It depends on the fan character. My game OCs are allowed into the group, because the world I create for them is based on someone else's world, but I put enough of a twist on it to create entirely separate stories of my own.

Hm... The only OC I can really think of using is my "Rise of the Guardians" OC, Holly Lynn.
Most of her biography is here (Along with her reference picture... Urgh, this one is a little outdated; I'm working on drawing a better one)
She's my only OC that I can imagine having a lot of great dynamic poses.

Awesome, I can almost feel the explosion's shock wave on my skin! Also, their moderately over-the-top expressions are wonderful.
Dynamic poses are fun to watch, but unfortunately they're kinda hard to draw... though I guess practically pro-artists like you are an exception.

It just takes practice. I sketched a thumbnail of their pose from the side--a much easier profile to manage--and then mentally turned Β the camera around so that I could draw them from this angle. One year ago I actually attempted this very same image, but couldn't manage the extreme proportions then. Just keep at it, and you can only get better.

It was originally a panel from a comic I attempted to draw over a year ago, when they were in the early stages of character development. However, I lacked the skill at the time to pull of the awkward angle. It was also a comic that focused more on dry banter, and not on their canonical relationship, so we'll have to see if it makes it into the final cut.

I draw all my teeth like that, especially for more exaggerated expressions, or when a character is glowering. Indicating incisors are a good way of simplifying teeth without making them completely flat.
