how could i go about adding additional hard drive lines? ive got 5 total but im not sure how to go about copy/pasting the existing 2, I know how to change which drive it reads the info for but dont know how to add the extra 3
edit: never mind, i figured it out. for anyone else looking to do the same, just copy the .ini from hdd1 or hdd2, create a folder hdd3, copy it in and rename it. open the .ini, replace every instance of hdd1/2 with 3 and change the drive it directs to to whatever drives you have.

you can go to edit whichever line skin, look for this
[Variables]
Drive=C
BarBack=255, 255, 255, 50
BarColor=255, 255, 255
if you play with that "50" it changes the transparency, so you can lower it and make it harder to see or put 0 and itll be gone. You might be able to just delete that number entirely also to get rid of the back line, but I didnt bother trying.

Quick question: I have more than two HDDs and an 8-core processor. Is there any way on my end that I could use the existing skins as a way to make more Lines to display info for those? As in making duplicate files and adjusting settings and label names accordingly or would that run the risk of making everything function all wonky?

copy the .ini from hdd1 or hdd2, create a folder hdd3, copy it in and rename it to hdd3, hdd4, etc. open the .ini, replace every instance of hdd1/2 with 3 (or 4, etc) and change the drive it directs to to whatever other hard drives you have.

find gpuhor.txt file and fix an error there:
[MeterBar]
MeasureName=TempGPU
Meter=BAR
X=10
Y=20
W=180
*H=6*
BarOrientation=HORIZONTAL
BarColor=#BarColor #

See here for the changes required to the skin to get it working with Fahrenheit: [link]
I'll try to get an updated version up at some point.
Core 1 + 2 refer to the each core of the processor (or wherever the different temperature sensors are for your CPU that SpeedFan is looking at).

Hi,
Thanks for this! Great work! One question though, I've installed SpeedFan and have it running but the temp skins don't seem to respond. Any help?? Thanks

Rasylver In reply to od1235 [2010-09-12 10:26:36 +0000 UTC]
Hmm, you could check that the fan number that Rainmeter is looking at is correct. It mght be looking at numbers that don't link to anything on your system causing it to show nothing.
To change that, go into the temp skins configs and the SpeedFan Number should be shown near the top. Try changing the number and refreshing the skin to see if it then responds.

Other than that it looks and works fantastically.
