Viola's control officer and a rogue gem hunter.
She ensures order is maintained in the compound, oversees protection of the workers and
keeps inmates in line. She may also go out in search of other gems for harvesting.
Demeanor:

A sly, cheerful gem, who jumps at the opportunity to cut into a conversation with a pun or two and loves to be an
instigator. She's become more of a talker than a fighter since reforming, however,
while not the type to back down from a challenge, she knows when its best to flee-- favoring self
preservation over the satisfaction of successfully dishing out an armless ass kicking. Even so, she is loyal to those
whom she considers to be worth giving a damn about and won't retreat if it means those individuals are left in harm's
way.

- She was originally one of Blue Diamond's warriors who'd been ambushed along with her team by enemy
alien life forms. They'd been sent there to put down a small collection of rogue gems attempting to follow in
Rose Quartz's footsteps. These rogues managed to recruit the help of the planet's natives and overwhelm
Iolite and her companions.
- Viola's gems were sent to clean up the mess, returning with a damaged Iolite whom the Diamond opted to
use as a guinea pig for a gem repair technique they'd been testing.
- The results weren't perfect but Iolite turned out relatively stable with some deformities and small changes to
her personality. She no longer has shins and must use limb enhancers like prosthetics to walk.
Her eyes are deformed as well, becoming skeletal sockets that share a single eye between them--
it rolls from one socket to another when she needs to improve her field of view in a particular direction.
- In addition, she managed to keep her arms, but they are unstable and easy to destroy.
She can be rendered armless if weakened.
- She has a soft spot for Viola's peridot workers, her limb enhancers being modified versions of the ones
Viola's peridot data keepers are outfited with. She chose not to have hers recolored to match her colorscheme
as an affectionate nod to the dots that fixed her up.
- She pledged her services to Viola without reluctance, grateful for her kindness.
- Her gem is located on her back below her shoulder blades.

Sometime in the future I may or may not try to take the scripts I wrote up for her origin story and make the comic pages for them. No gaurantees just cause my motivation is a wavering shit.
