I started this picture when I visited Hawii for the first *mebe last* time this summer... I stayed up far-Later than my parents so that I could sneak out to the beach to stargaze... Upon my journey I spotted a few dolphins bathed in moonlight... I was awestruck ^_^So drew my "Siren" as I call her... To commemorate the beauty I saw that night...
Clearly my best shop'-color job to date... 7/20/04...
I have always been fascinated by mythological beasts and nymphs.. Who posessed beauty in their own unique ways.. ^_^

hmm, with this one I recommend lightening things up a bit. You seem to be using a lot of blacks for your darks and shadows, and although I'm not digital colourist, these things apply to any media. What you might want to do is instead slightely darken and use cool (like on the bluer side of things) and desaturated colours to shade with. One person who does this well with her colouring is Loish: [link] Take a look through her gallery and see how she uses colours with shading. The same rules can apply to your style and subject matter.
Also, layers! Use a different layer for ever new colour and element your shading. It's easier to edit or completely re-do pieces if you use different layers.

Awesome job, especialy in the sky and the characters herself. While I probably havent seen all of your colored works, this is one of the best that I've seen
