My first vision of this beautiful lady is her eye. Very clear. Imagined buy her lips to insinuate she is sad. I love the circular strokes you use in your drawing, The detailed fine lines in the hair and chin area are superb. I do think of the original Mona Lisa with her curly hair which you took into consideration upon drawing this piece. Technique is delightful. Over all impact act is subtle. I love the long hair
as it covers part of the face. This is a wonderful attribute to your drawing to make it the title you have given her. Well done , you have a fan e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Apparently about 75% of what exists is dark to us, so there is hope that we have merely been egotistical about all that is there, and perhaps part of us. We are a very arrogant species. We need to expand our consciousness more and embrace the realities of the cosmos, even those things in it that we perceive scientifically but cannot see with our eyes. In time, the mysteries will reveal themselves, if humanity survives its own folly and sheer stupidity.Β  In the mean time, we have to avoid the temptation of belief in dogmas invented by humans. After all, we can't see what they claim exists either.

in the meantime, I see that often we exchange our mind with our "soul." But the mind vanishes with the death of neurons. I know many older people who are now only a very far memory of what they were a few decades ago. They are reduced to pitiful vegetal .... where is it their soul? How can a soul coexist in a form of life so mortifying? I hope (with you of course) Β that the dark matter around us knows the answer !

GersifGalsana In reply to RedTweny [2014-02-12 04:35:18 +0000 UTC]

Yes, there is a discrepancy between mind and soul. People use the one for the other. Age and damage destroys the brain, the central processing unit for our intellect and bodily functions. We become ruined by various means because we are physical. What is interesting is the near death experiences of some who have lost this damage when they almost died. This is a dangerous arena, I know, as there are many charlatans and liars, but I have been there myself so I know there is no God but there is something else and there are others who don't reside here in our dimension. Ancestors. They cannot follow us back and we cannot come back once we reach a certain stage of dying. I was very young so I didn't have the opportunity to make anything up. What I do suspect is that a soul might exist and that it might be capable of escaping this plane on account of how it is made. Here, we are physical and that soul, whatever it is, is connected to the physical somehow. Death appears to set it free to travel on by breaking this connection. We have invented gods and heavens but this doesn't mean existence doesn't continue. Big chance it doesn't, of course, but I do have strong suspicions there may be more to it and because we are trapped by our physical existence and forced into hardship and suffering by other humans and by the nature of Nature itself, we may have missed a glimpse of something else. One must try to escape the nihilism of brain thinking here, and find the soul and see what it might be capable of. Perhaps it doesn't suffer the same damage as the body. It may become damaged by something else, of course, if it is a substance made of particles and organised into a unit. We shall all find out some day ...
