What do you get when you put Applejack and Pinkie Pie in one automaton? I'm not really sure myself, but it certainly looks like a lot of fun! WOOOOO!!!Both ponies, stand, apples, balloons and trophy body are carved from Philippine mahogany. The gears and trophy figurehead are made of Narra hardwood. The figures are hand painted with enamel and protected with clear flat lacquer. Both ponies stand at 5" and the whole piece measures 8 1/2" long, 5" wide, and 7 3/4" high. It took 124 hours to make.

That's awesome! It would've been cool if you could have added a noise box (like I vaguely remember you doing on one of your older pieces) so it sounds like their woo'ing. But I honestly don't know how much more trouble that'd be, the piece is incredible, regardless!

This is beautiful! I'm always so amazed and marvel at your talent to make these cute contraptions! Personally, this is one of my favorite moments between these two so I'm so glad you chose it!

I loved the fact you could take the saddle bags and hat off of AJ. I just thought it was amusing to see Pinkie carrying the apples in the video.

My only regret is I couldn't put the hat on Pinkie. Maybe a Sherlock hat and pipe for her next time.

That is pretty cool.
The only part of the figures that I don't like are the ears. They look very odd to me when they are facing like this.

Well, horses can rotate their ears through 180 degrees, so it is perfectly normal, even if that particular position looks slightly odd.Β

I prefer a higher gearing as it smooths out the motion due to mechanical advantage.
