Photoshop Elements 6, wacom Bamboo fun, plus 2 hours I guess. @@ I'm so tired.

I promise this is the last for today. I got one drawing done, but I'll wait tomorrow or sometime to upload it. It's the Elf character that needs the name.

i actually like some stuff going on, but you need to break away from anime and loosen up a but. look at the work of andrew wyeth and copy his noses eyes mouthes individually and fill pages and pages of them and you will be years ahead of this in a small amount of time.
look at my work if you want, im terrible at portraiture but thats how i got semi decent

Anime isn't the only art I do, I try to draw other art as well. I like anime, and other art. I try to branch out to other types of art, including crafts, and writing.

well then your golden, i just see people who do anime only and its really only formula you know just as long as you keep creative things going dont listen to me, you obviously are talented or i wouldnt have posted on your picture

ya but you have a loose drawing style which is revered believe me, just because you havent found your technique doesnt mean anything, just please please dont draw formula anime you can draw i can tell but the way anime is set up you dont get any better, and im not insulting you obviously you just need some refinement anime is the easy way out im afraid, i went to school for half a semester with people who were amazing at there anime because they had dedicated themselves to it and memorized all there placing but they couldnt draw at all, much much much worse then yours, btw the puppy drawing, its fuckin great! i wouldnt waste my time typing this if i didnt think you had it

I'll try to do more other art. I do need to draw more landscapes and flowers, since I haven't done any in a while, and make some clay roses.

theres nothing wrong with drawing anime for fun, especially if you put your twist to it
if you have a hard time shading do charcoal "washes" with darker line drawing over it and then erase out the highlights, it will help your eye get used to seeing the right way
