Okay, first things first...this piece is total wishful thinking on my part. This is my World of Warcraft Night Elf Druid named Allathia. She's only level 42 at the moment, and the odds of her getting a full set of Feralheart armor are practically 0, but I wanted to do a piece with her, and her armor now looks like hell, so I opted for this cool set.
Did this piece in a more cel-shaded style, as opposed to the airbrushing style I've done recently, just to mix things up a bit. The background was airbrushed, as was the spell effect around her hands.

Feralheart, one of my favourite looking sets of all time. Such a damn shame I never managed to finish it. Should go do it someday.

Yeah I never completed any of those sets, which was sad. Feralheart was always my favorite. By the look of your avatar icon you might have been going for the Lightforge/Soulforge armor too at one point.

I like the cell approach here. It makes the colors much more vivid and it makes the spell effect stand out more since it's done with a different style. Well done!

Thanks! I seem to go back and forth in the coloring schemes, with really no rhyme or reason for it. I like the cel shade look, but still trying to refine it and get the hang of this damnable electronic pencil.

I still tend to favor the airbrushed look, but that's mostly because I find it easier to fudge--epecially if one's pen control isn't the greatest. :/

i often wonder how they keep the bracers on their arms LOL seems like it'd slide to their shoulders every time they cast

Yeah, I've also wondered how they even lift their arms like that, since those gauntlets looks like they'd weigh 50lbs a piece
