I tried out 's [link] tutorial (more or less) for how I colored this.Theres a background! Wow.
I like how Megara has a past that she has to grapple with. Shes not so perfect- makes her more relatable I think.

That's a cool painting method! It looks really nice here, but something about the shadow under her makes her look like she's floating a few inches above the fountain. I think if the shadows there were darker it would ground her.
Yay, backgrounds! And wow, I never realized just how dark Megara was until I watched the movie again a few months ago.

Yes, it does look better. The trick is to get the level of shadow on the thing the object (Megara, in this case) is sitting on to match the object where they meet. Both places are receiving in general the same amount of light.

I always loved that song. Anyway, this coloring is a bit rough but does give a nice effect. The face shading looks great.
Anyway. For that Converse girl thing you wanted...I really do not like the old version at all. I'll upload a new version in a day or two and the old version as well at the same time.
