Art in memory of the most attractive alien I have ever seen. Maybe it doesn't look like I am in on this, but I'm a big fan of the Marvel cinematic universe. The Infinity War became my most favorite and the worst movie at the same time, after which the Avengers ended for me for ever. It gave us incredibly spectacular Black Order, but underestimated it and took away all of my favorite heroes.Such strong impressions gave me a kick to create something completely new. I tried new techniques that have never used before. I'm dead tired from linearts and wanted to pay more attention to brush strokes and background [...two whole months of work, God].
I fell in love with the design of this telekinetic. For some reason every detail of his clothes, elegance of that ebony 'trachea' under his throat, beauty of his thinness seem so harmonious that I don't even believe his creators wanted to achieve another effect. Too spectacular and too powerful for such absurd death. RIP Ebony Maw.

The guy who was a cross between 'Eddie the Head' and 'Lord Voldemort' was the most impressive of Thanos's subordinates.
To me he was. After all, effortlessly using his telekinetic powers and being able to slice through objects with just a simple wave of his hands was just really impressive.
I'm thinking he was ultimately Thanos's right-hand man given he spoke on his behalf always. The other members of Thanos's Children were just waiting to be tagged in to take care of the super heroes that stood in Thanos's way.
Frankly I think he was a bit too OP to just merely serve Thanos. The things he could do was impressive enough to where he could be his own stand-alone villain....save for the vaccuum of space.

I agree with you... I also suppose that the creators have overdone too much with his imbalance power and began to ignore his tremendous potential. He could slice through absolutely all enemies in one second, just like he did with metal. Creators have done a lot of illogical things about him and I still don't understand, why they did not give free rein to his abilities. Because everyone would die in a flash? And no happy ending as a result?
But for the rest... they did their best for his unbearably spectacular visual design. And yes, made him kind of Thanos's voice, a harbinger of doom... personal scientist with genius mind. And it was he who led the army during the invasion of Zen-Whoberi. Indeed most honorable one...
I think that's because Maw loved Thanos hard enough. The original sources say that Maw was an absolute fanatic and believer. Most likely he wanted to follow Thanos more than anyone else. He believed him and even believed as in god.
As far as I know, there is a comic storyline where Maw betrays him, following own convictions, but there is another new one in opposition, where he admits that he loves Thanos more than anyone. I like this last position more.

Still have no idea why I find him sexy..................................>////////////////////////////<;;;;;;; He died way too easily. We need a comic or book to recon this. I love what you did here and his elegance among the chaos behind him.

I, in turn, have no idea why his figure is so damn perfect. This is a direct provocation.
In fact, he died not as shamefully as his brothers and sister.. At least he was not surpassed in strength, but only by the law of physics.. It would be worse if he was later pinned to the ground by bare hands and all that. If not in space, most likely he should have been defeated in a more pitiful way, shown weaker than people [hope my English allowed me to explain correctly].
I don’t know if you know, but on February 20th the 4th Black Order's comic came out. There will be 5 of them. The story isn't connected with the Infinity War, they are still all alive. Hope the Maw will survive there...

Yess.. I don't know why, but this one is my fave too and I'm saying that is totaly outside of my fave zone!, maybe because of his powers or... I really don't know, but what I wanna say:

The details turned out to be a whole epic for me.. I almost used a microscope to identify everything what his clothes consisted of. It was also necessary to wait 2 months before the digital-hd release.
Most of all I was amazed that new details were found even where a normal viewer would not even look for them.. Would not even notice. If you take a close look at his shoes, I don't know.. can't figure out how creators could even come up with that complexity [considering that the shoes were closely shown only once in the beginning]. As if they just wanted these details, because they just like them themselves.
