As a programmer and writer, and someone who needs music to focus, I have a large collection of ambient, electronic and soundtrack music that I listen too all the time while at my computer, and the Blade Runner soundtrack is by far my favourite. No surprise as it's my favourite movie.

Yeah, can't wait to see what Ridley Scott does for a sequel, just hope is half as good as the original.

I hope whatever they do they do it with the care and attention to detail they applied to the original, and don't get sucked into a CGI - Michael Bay - 'see what we can do' show.
For all it's faults, Prometheus was pretty amazing, but I'd still hope for better with this.

Prometheus will age well I think, I liked that one, I'm a fan of the Scott bro's, mostly Ridley, and like he did with Prometheus I think we'll see a lot of sets and practical FX in BR sequel, that said, can't wait to see what he does.

There's a scene in Blade Runner where Gaff is bringing Deckard to Bryant's office, it's a slow pan down as they walk through the large station room, the camera spends a few seconds over the roof of Bryant's office. There's a bunch of loose paper, a broom, dusk and dirt - it's so completely unnecessary, so clearly not CGI, and is a perfect example of the attention to detail that went into the sets in that movie. That's what makes it timeless, the CGI doesn't age because it's not CGI, it's a real space created and detailed for only a fraction of a moment in the film.
The actors on Prometheus commented in an interview how they were used to acting in front of windows with green screens on the other side expecting that exterior footage would be added later, and they were surprised that Ridley had displays setup running the external scenes outside the windows of the sets so that the actors got a better feel of what they were acting against. As much as I'm nervous that they're taking my favourite movie of all time and making a sequel, I'm also really excited to see what can be done with it. At the end of the day, Blade Runner will always stand alone as it's own movie, and the sequel can't take away from that.

yeah, that's right,Β completelyΒ agree, remember that it's another movie, Blade Runner stands on its own, timelessly traveling through the years, I can't wait to see what they'll do.
Well, now I have to watch it again.
