My mum had one ...with a treadle....Iwas terrified of it....but when I got used to using it I loved it...even when I bought my new one I Β missed hers!!

I did a series of these once and for each one I used something recycled. Like the roof sheet or window frame ect. Its was great fun.

Beautiful love how you framed it. Do they really paint their houses this way? Because here (Holland) paint is so expensive so you would imagine that they don't have the money for that.

Thanks I love framing with recycled materials.
The colours are usually caused by the corrugated ironΒ rusting. But in the editing of the photo the colour was heightened and then more so because I painted it. But some of the huts are painted with a mix that the people make themselves of earth chalks. And then you get the really artists folks that use the most interesting materials to build their homes.
