True, the Old Bardock was awesome, his personality was made by Toei Animation, Toriyama the creator of DBZ made DBZ-Minus Bardock or the Bardock in the New Broly Movie.
Unless the new Movie makes Bardock Awesome, then that's good
Old Bardock is Awesome and a Badass, it's a shame he doesn't care about his sons and acts like an asshole like every other Saiyan, and has no love for his wife if he ever had one.
I wish they combine the Bardock who cares about Gine and his Sons but also carries the badass fighter, but I do hear he fights like the Bardock we know. I guess we will find out

They should of just kept the Special as canon and shown events with him prior to that. With Gine, Raditz w/e. They even had a panel from the special straight up IN the manga. So now they retconned the Minus stuff in.

yeah, to be fair, Toriyama never worked on the Special one, only did art for them, Toei Animations did the writing and story.

yeah but point is he deliberately made it canon by literally copy pasting a still from the special into the manga, just annoying he always seems to forget his own shit all the time
