A Work in Progress...
In Soara's earlier submissions, I mentioned that like Aerrow and Dark Ace, she too had a battle glider. I had started on the initial design a while back, but got side-tracked by work and other things, so it got set aside.

With November giving me a good amount of free time, I dug up alot of my old sketch projects and took to finishing this one. This is just my first envisioned idea of a glider for Soara. It will probably change and evolve if I put a little more time into it.

The main detail about this glider, is that it is actually built into her armor. I dunno where Dark Ace or Aerrow hide theirs, they just seem to pop out whenever they fall off their Skimmers.
The top image displays both Closed and Deployed settings. when closed it all hides under the Armor Flaps (Those are the part with the lightning bolts on them).
When deployed, the long metal "fingers" extend (Kinda like how you extend an antennea) downward from under the shielding flaps. the bottom extention locks in place and then the wings expand outward like a fan.

Unlike Aerrow and Dark Ace, her glider lacks the little handlebars, but I planned for this. The Wings themselves are able to be controled manually to an extent. In the bottom sketch it is demonstrated that just by holding onto the outer extention, Soara can control her ascension and descention in the sky by physically folding and expanding the fan-like wings with her own physical force and catching the winds.
I got the inspiration for that feature from an old school TV show I used to watch called SilverHawks (Wonders if any of you fellow old schoolers remember that golden oldie).
