WEWT prepare for Olympics uploading spam!
This is a collab with the wonderful samuRAI-same
I did the sketch, shading, and BG detailing. They did the lines, flats colours, and the BG base.
I honestly am just in love with Wahoo tho, and i totally aim to steal this handsome boy one day.

It had been an overwhelming few days of travel and settling in with the rest of the entrants. Ryan was still slightly overwhelmed by the fact that he was entering the Olympics and representing his country on the world stage. It just seemed outrageous, even after a long season competing in the HCL under his belt. There was just something different about wearing your countries colours and competing against the best the world had to offer. It had been a long journey, with a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get here, but he had made it, and Greyjoy had traveled as well as could be expected given she was never a big fan of changing her routines.
The big mare had been carefully shipped with plenty of her regular bedding, feed, and supplements to help her adjust to the new water and stable. They were well used to her antics now thanks to the busy season, and she seemed to relax after only a few hours of irritated pacing around her new stall. Luckily they had a week to really settle back into a good routine and get her working well before their event was scheduled. Ryan had decided that he would make the best of it and utilise all of the time and training opportunities to set them up as best as possible.
They had just finished a serious training session over some jumps on Day 3 of the Schedule. It had gone incredibly well and Ryan was beaming with pride at how well Greyjoy was doing. The mare was in her prime and knew her job down to a tee. She had been so adjustable and responsive, even in the strange location with the bustle of the other competitors using the facilities around them as well. A quick bath after and Ryan decided to take advantage of the lack of spectators at the Imperials location that day and hand walk Greyjoy in the sun to give her a chance to graze and see more of the sites.
It had been a lovely 20 minutes of flicking through his phone to check messages from his friends, family, and the surprising amount of fans on social media. The sun was bright and warm. Greyjoy was eagerly munching away on the lush lawns that were open to competitors use. Ryan chuckled at a particular photo of Cavan's luggage with his Team Australia outfit laid out on top, when he heard the sound of another horse close by.
Looking up he smiled and nodded at the man holding onto a very handsome grey stallion. Looking them over he felt something niggling at the back of his mind. They looked familiar. Thinking back through the other entrants he realised this was one of the Canadian's, Kole. It was then he remembered why they looked familiar, they had actually ridden against each other at the Toronto Masters.
Greyjoy seemed to be entirely uninterested in the stallion, and luckily he seemed to also be far more interested in grazing in the shade rather than checking out a new mare, so Ryan didn't stop the roan as she slowly made her way closer to the other pair. As they were passing by, Ryan took the chance and spoke up, not wanting to be impolite.
"Hey, its Vicen right?"
"Yes i am." He bowed his had a little. "Jacobs if i'm not mistaken."
"Guilty as charged" He grinned. Looking the grey over he whistled softly. "Your boy is looking fantastic at the moment." He couldn't quite remember the stallions name, but he figured it was a safe way to be friendly, and the horse was a truly magnificent animal.
Vicen smiled just slightly his hand moving to pet Wahoo softly. "Thank you. its all him, hes keeping me going for sure." Wahoo grazed as he watched the mare from time to time. "I must say your mare is quite something. she was a force to be reckoned with at Toronto."
Ryan nodded, unable to deflect a compliment of Greyjoy like he would himself. "She's amazing. I'm still blown away that i get to be the one riding her." He leaned back against her side as she grazed, stroking the sleek coat as he smiled. "From memory you both did very well too!"
Vicen lowered his head a little "I'm very proud of him though i should have let him take control a little."
"I sometimes worry the same. I often think if we could teach her to read the course instructions she would do better just jumping it alone." He chuckled slightly, trying to make light of one of his own insecurities.
Vicen smiled a bit more. "I would be quite interesting if they could." He hesitated a moment. "I do wish you two the best of luck."
"Thanks. Lots of luck to you as well, though i think you will do fine in any case." Ryan smiled, getting the feeling the other man was not keen on a lengthy conversation. "It was nice to meet you Vicen." He nodded and let Greyjoy's insistent grazing drag him further away in search of greener grass.
"Thank you. It was nice to meet you as well Ryan." bowing a little as he watched them head off a little.
Ryan mused over the nice but quiet guy for a moment as they walked away. He would have to remember to congratulate him after the results were official. No matter what wither of them had as a result it was a big deal to ride at this event and he hoped they were both pleased with how they rode.
