An angsty artwork for Bucky, because that movie broke me almost as thoroughly as they broke Buck's character.
Β The title comes from the song "Shattered" by Trading Yesterday. It was the first song that came to mind after seeing the movie and fit so well I had to draw something for it.The song by itself: youtu.be/lGBiqf09tG0

Just wanted to let you know that I can't stop staring at the details of this one. The whole simple design; the black and white, the shadows, the empty background - emphasize the pose and overall emotion of the pisture so very well. Great job here.

I hadn't even thought of that song, even though I know it -- it does fit so well with his character and story! Beautiful artwork, you have some major skill and I feel like this is very canon and how things will turn out, of course, though, I'm hoping for a happy ending!! Β

If you're referring to Sam Wilson being Cap, I had a friend tell me that Marvel had announced that it would be him, not Bucky that would replace Cap in the 3rd movie.Β Now that I look into it though,Β I'm starting to think they just saw the announcement that he'd be the new cap in the comics, and assumed that meant the movie as well.
Sorry, didn't mean to pass along false information!Β Could be either one of them I guess, but it makes me worlds happier knowing that Bucky still has a chance!

No worries. I was thinking, in all logic, it would make more sense for Sam to be chosen as Steve's successor as Captain America. He's more mentally stable than a recovering Bucky would be, provided he gets his memory back. The Avengers would also trust Sam more because of where his heart and mind are as far as standing for America's founding principles. Bucky started out as an American soldier, but got brainwashed and rewired to hate everything he fought for. Now since the end of Cap 2 he's more likely anti-Hydra, maybe not Pro-America (yet).Β
I'm also hoping for Bucky to be Cap America. If Stark suits him up, he is gonna look AWESOME!! He's gonna be a very intimidating Captain America, and hopefully he'll become more like Bucky! (personally, I wouldn't want to give the Winter Soldier talents, the shoot-em-down-when-I-see-em mentality should go, but heck the spy stuff will come in handy. Gives him a little more common ground with Natasha. hee hee! Can you tell my ship?

Cap 4 plotline: Bucky using the role of Captain America to destroy HYDRA cells while also trying to find a balance and peace within himself.
(So not official but c'mon who WOULDN'T want to see this! Okay I know PTSD is NO joke, lots of uncontrolled anger and rage the darker side of the human psych, but still, that plot line about finding yourself...)
