Description The interior of the cathedral in Copacabana. The ceiling was simply breathtaking... Just as I took this picture, someone else pointed out the big sign that said it was prohibited to take photos inside... that was about when I decided it was time to leave.

Is there an organ in this lovely church? If so, I would dearly love to play it! Nice shot. Stupid signs...

I do believe there is an organ, although I don't quite remember.

It really pulls my eyes upwards towards the roof decor.

Nice vanishing point, colours are good too.Personally i would have cut the people out in photoshop or cropped the image higher to remove them and leave that stunning architecture. Nevertheless great picture.

I actually tried that, and although it does focus more on the architecture, it rather takes away from the great perspective of the wide angle lens. Plus I think it adds an element of humanity to the picture

ok i see, then yes its wise to keep the WA effect and leave the picture as it is. You could always pull another shot from it later perhaps which focuses on part of the architecture with an enlargement i guess. Such things are a matter of personal choice as much as professionalism. Your work is always good so I would say go with your intuition on any pic you take, if you like it so will others. Regards Glenn

I love the 9-18! It's becoming my favorite lens, although it takes a little while to get used to if (like me) you're not used to super wide angle.

It's my first ultra wide angle, but I like a lot. Many times I wanted to go wider and now it's the time.

What I really like is the very funny distortion of faces when are photographed from very close

Excellent! My favorite part about it is the great sense of dimension. I love lying down and having the lens just centimeters above the ground... the perspective is amazing.

And I really like that effect too! I always wanted to try that with a fisheye lens

Wow, this is a beautiful place. I love the way you've broken this image in half by having the aisle directly up the middle. The colors are incredible!

Should I ever purchase a roof, I would want it to look like this. It's amazing. Look at all those composite colours!
Definitely worth the rule breaking
