Inspired by this lovely and wonderful concept by Taibu-Kettu !

Discordia, fusion of Mondatta and Maximilien. Takes place in an AU I am writing for privately.

Name: Discordia (will answer to Max or Mondatta or Maxdatta)
Pronouns: He/him or they/them
Traits: Silent, observant, enigmatic, chaotic-neutral most days, smokes like they're going to die tomorrow.
Likes: Omnic wine and Omnic grade treats, reading, smoking, people-watching, staring off into space, cats, music, puzzles.
Dislikes: ???

Profile: Discordia came to be a little after Harmonia (the being created when Zenyatta and Genji fuse together), but the circumstances are not yet known (ie I haven't come up with the backstory yet). They are an odd contrast to both Harmonia and the Omnics that they are made from. Discordia is...strange, to say the least. He does not speak, and when prompted to talk, he will simply put a finger up to his jaw in a shushing gesture. When questioned after splitting, Mondatta and Max simply said that if their fusion spoke above the tiniest, faintest whisper, chaos and discord would befall all in the vicinity, so they simply agreed not to talk as Discordia. Others are not entirely certain if this is true or not.

Though they do not speak often, Discordia has spoken a few times, and always in a sibilant whisper that only enhanced audials can pick up. He is not as inclined to speak in riddles as Harmonia, but they're not exactly articulate talkers. Their answers are short and clipped, and to this day they have probably said no more than seven words in one sentence. Overwatch has also noted that, when it's quiet enough, and there isn't anything going on, they can hear Discordia quietly humming a nameless tune. When questioned, neither Mondatta or Maximilien were inclined to name the song their fusion seemed to always be humming.

Discordia does not seem overly combative or passive, but rather decides based on the situation, and on their whim. They are not often called into battle because of this: on one hand, they might jump into the fray and aid Overwatch, but on the other hand...they might just float on the sidelines and observe; silent, watching...

They are constantly followed by a haze of purple smoke, pipe in one hand, and another sometimes occupied by a very potent orb of Discord and Chaos. Zenyatta once described Discordia as "stormlike"; not necessarily a bad thing, but there is little mercy to be had should they feel ready to unleash their yet known abilities.

Discordia overall seems to combine Maximilien and Mondatta in strange, but oddly balanced ways, and both can be picked out from Discordia's mannerisms and appearance. Maximilien seems to be the contributor to the smoking habit (something Mondatta constantly scolds him for) as well as combat and strategic skills, and Mondatta seems to have contributed the abilities of the Iris. The results have created a sort of "anti-Mondatta", as Hana once called him.

There seems to be a slightly mischievous streak to Discordia, as often just minutes before a stroke of mild bad luck, he can he heard chuckling quietly or staring at the supposed victim. It is unclear if they are actively instigating these moments of bad luck (ie tripping, something breaking, embarrassing happenstances, wardrobe malfunctions, electrical and/or plumbing malfunctions, etc). Another, slightly disconcerting ability of theirs is that their touch seems to have negative effects on whatever it is they are touching. Machines tend to fritz and malfunction if they touch them, but there has been no known maleffects if they touch humans, Cyborgs, or other Omnics. It is unknown if this ability is conscious or not.

Like with Harmonia, it is unclear as to how or why Mondatta and Maximilien were able to fuse. Both are not entirely sure themselves, but there is an odd secrecy between them whenever it is discussed, suggesting they may have a vague idea.

It is not entirely known why Discordia has four arms instead of two like Harmonia. Angela theorizes it is a result of a literal conflict of interest: Max is more inclined to self-interest, while Mondatta is more inclined to lending himself to others, thus resulting in "reaching in opposite directions with both hands". Hana once remarked that it was in fact the opposite. With their fusion seemingly indecisive in combat situations, she believes their "conflict" lies not in their personal interest, but the interest of the other. They do not want to risk harm to the other despite being fused into one, and only reach a compromise 50% of the time...or maybe they just wanted to look freaky and "chaotic". Hard to tell.

Aaaand that's all I got. This is legit my first time doing a brushed metal look and I am about 90% happy with the results, but kind of despise the faceplates. Being a more organic shape with more curves, the brushing technique looks a bit awkward, but it mostly works. Also my first improvised smoke effect XD
