Description This is the new addition to the bird family

He is suppose to be a turquoise Green Cheek Conure but he's definitely not.The breeder insisted he was a Turquoise Green Cheek Conure and since I wasn't too familiar with Turquoise green cheeks I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Of course I shouldn't have listened to her but even if he's not a pure turquoise I think he looks prettier than one


Artemis is quite the entertainer. He is still a baby but gosh he just loves being in your face and it seems like he's saying "hey hey hey play with me, hey hey, pay attention to me, hey HEY" He's just always on my face and loves "swimming" in my hair.
When he's with loki though...he is a jealous bird! He will make sure he gets the attention out of the two and if he's not the one receiving attention he will make sure she is eliminated from the picture. Poor Loki has learned that and runs away once he shows any indication of jealousy. Besides that though they love cuddling with each other and play fight.

I love them both so much Just like with some their dogs/cats are their babies...my birds are my babies

Oh my gosh he is beautiful! He is defiently a turquoise yellow sided cross oh man he is amazingly! I've always wanted a bird just like him! ahhhhhh

Let me tell you...he was not easy to find! I wasn't looking for a turquoise yellow sided cross... but just finding a regular turquoise was hard! Well like I said, the breeder claimed he was a pure turquoise and even gave me a picture of the parent (claiming it was Artemis). I actually bought him from out of my state and had him shipped to me! That was the first time I had a bird shipped to me and I think I wont do it again lol The poor little guy was thirsty and soooo sooo thin. The breeder assured me he would have adequate food and water (which I don't see how she could have provided him with water since he was in a little bird box) but when I opened it it looked like there were no signs of food shells and definitely no water. But I'm glad he is ok and was shipped to me pretty fast

I would be scared to have a bird shipped to me. Or any larger animals. I've had some reptiles shipped before and it wasn't that bad. I'm glad he was okay in the end tho. It would have been a shame if the shipping process affected him in any way.

Yeah I was scared! I was so worried and I couldn't sleep for those two days. It was suppose to take only 1 day for shipping but there was a delay and they don't like shipping live animals during bad weather so they were holding him until the next day.
The 'breeder' overall seemed kind of shady and I don't ever plan to buy a bird and have it shipped to me ever again. Especially not from that person lol

Oh my gosh I would be so super worried and scared and mad! Animals have to be shipped one day only! I would be so mad if my bird of all things, a super expensive fragile creature, took an extra day to get to me! I always think the worse cause stuff but that could honestly happen, a bird could die all cuz it took an extra day to get to you.

I was upset too...especially as I've said...when I opened the box there were no signs of seed shells and definitely no water. I was so mad at the breeder...first for lying that he was a pure turquoise (but I think he's prettier than a pure turquoise. I was just mad for the fact that she lied) and for lying that he would have enough food and water in his box.
I think if he was delayed another day he might have died. When I put him in his cage he was soooo thin I think if I held him tighter I would have killed him..you could feel most of his bones
But I'm really glad that he survived and is a healthy little piggy
