Just has to load. Works better on some browsers than others. It's a really large GIF.

This is great! Reminds me a lot of my playthroughs. I always have Lady Bow behind me, if not her Parakarry.Β

Nicely done! Either it's my internet though or the gif is a little broken. Though I find the animations you've done quite neat! Unfortunately though, in my opinion the characters of Mario and especially the two Toad NPCs need to move more, as I almost thought that the NPCs werent moving at all when I looked at the animation a few seconds in. Still, great work! It looks VERY well done!

Thanks! Yeah, there are a ton of technical problems with the GIF (for some reason it's not repeating plus it's crap quality), so I recommend watching the YouTube vid instead. That might be why you thought they weren't moving (because they weren't at that point).
I didn't want to make the Toads move too much since they are NPCs. Mario's movement is a 1-to-1 recreation of his TTYD animation, so not much I can do about that.

I did watch it instead. And really? I found Mario to move a little more subtly. Maybe it's the distance of the camera and I'm more used to Toad NPCs from TTYD to move a little more, because it's hardly apparent that they do.Β

I didn't say the Toads were good, but I think I did Mario pretty close. The only part that wasn't 1-to-1 was that his hat bounces in TTYD, so if anything, mine moves less than the original.

That looks awesome! Is Toad Town in the first Paper Mario game? I've never played it, so I don't know much about it.

Yep, it's basically the main hub town in PM64.

Ooh, cool. ^_^ The oldest Paper Mario game I've played is The Thousand Year Door.

This looks really neat! It really brings out the charm of the original and takes me back to the days exploring Toad Town. I'd say maybe fix bow's outline so it's the same as the other character models and also let the Toad's Β arms have more movement? For the latter it looks like they're shivering somewhat. Other than that you've captured the delightful mood of Toad Town in this. I'm very fond of the little details such as the Paper Texture in the trees. I really enjoy the attention to detail in remaking the layout and architecture of Toad Town down to a tee (no pun intended).

Thanks man! Yeah, I was lazy with Bow, as I just took a pre-made file I did a while back and didn't change it.
Plus I was lazy again with the Toad animation and just copy and pasted the key-frames of the female Toad onto the male one, which is probably why it looks wonky (his arm is too high up). I'll try to be more thorough on future animations.

No problemo! Ah, I see. Well since this is a start, I'm gonna be looking forward to more like this from you. Keep it up!

A Paper Mario remastered would be awesome.

As long as it doesn't have any sticker star and color splash elements.
