combining two of my favourite movies!
so I was listening to Davy Jones’ theme for hours, and went “hey this reminds me of a sad, nautical mash-up of Across the Stars and the Imperial March??” (srsly, the music box tune vs when the drums kick in)… then “hey, Anakin/Vader is basically Davy Jones, Captain of the Flying Dutchman Executor" and then this AU spawned in my brain. the parallels are based more on personalities/roles, ignore family relations...

and speaking of songs... clearly He's A Pirate = the Force theme and Two Hornpipes (Tortuga) = the Star Wars Cantina
also I just wanted to try completely reversing the environment of the Anakin vs Obi-Wan final duel… (not that typhoons and giant space kraken are much of an improvement, ahaha)

I thought this was both cool and funny.
I got some good "what ifs" if you are interested.
What if Jango Fett survived?
What if Dooku secretly put a protocol in the clones to kill Palpatine?
(This next one is sort of the same premise as Dark Empire in a way).
What if Count Dooku anticipated Sidious' betrayal and replacement of him, and transferred his consciousness into a younger cloned body of himself secretly upon his death.
And what if Qui Gon's ghost spoke to Dooku?
(These last two I credit to 212th Trooper).
Basically during the Clone Wars the clones only made up two thirds of the Grand Army of the Republic, and the rest were recruits.
After Order 66 was issued only the clones with behavior modifications complied. So only the recruited soldiers and most A.R.C. Troopers did not execute Order 66.
Half of the 212th Battalion was made up of recruited soldiers and some of these soldiers actually assisted Obi-Wan in escaping.
Many of the recruited soldiers and A.R.C. Troopers in the 212th defected going out to an unexplored part of the galaxy and setting up their own republic nick named "The 212th Republic".
They would later be one of the main providers of weapons, and supplies to the Rebellion, and would start providing their own troops clad in white and orange armor to contribute after they felt confident the Rebellion could win.

During the Old Republic era the Sith Empire is assaulting a Republic controlled military moon around Coruscant and test a new weapon on the moon. The weapon itself was ancient in nature, and the Sith did not fully understand it, they just knew it takes centuries to charge it, so they used it on the biggest military target in orbit to see what it did. The moon, everything on it, and anything in orbit around the moon just vanished in a bright flash. The Sith and remaining Republic forces assumed they were vaporized. They were not however...
3,650 thousand years later exactly the moon over Coruscant reappears, but what has been a few thousand years for the galaxy has only been seconds for those stationed on and around the moon.
They would immediately be surrounded by Star Destroyers with their captain demanded to know who they are, and how they made a small world appear out of nowhere.
Contact would be establish, but the Empire doesn't believe that they are old republic soldiers, rather believing it to be a trick. Realizing despite having an entire military base of a moon, they are just simply outmatched by the shear fire power of the Star Destroyers, and the shear numbers of TIE Fighters, and Imperial Marines.
Taking who they can around half of the old Republic fleet manages to make it out, making a jump to a random system, but the old Republic fleet is going to find that the galaxy is now a very different place.

Palpatine would be Davy Jones, the Kraken would be the Death Star, AND EVERYTHING MAKE SENSE !

After much deliberation, I have come up with a plot that I think best fits the characters as they appear.
Stop me if this gets boring.
Anakin, the most feared pirate on the seven seas, is recruited by Emperor Palpatine as a privateer to rid the oceans of the remaining pirates. In exchange Palpatine promises to find Anakin's long lost wife, Padme.
Spoilers: Padme is actually dead, killed by assassins sent by Palpatine himself.
Luke is a blacksmith(shocker) working in the not so seedy port royal. His sister, Leia, is under the care of the governor as an adopted daughter. the two have been friends since childhood. (No romance whatsoever because it was boring in Pirates of the Caribbean and I don't support incest)
Anakin, having some free time, decides his crew should let their hair down in Port Royal.
Two bumbling idiots (you know who they are) kidnap Leia, hoping to get a ransom of some type. Luke (being the obvious hero) recruits a shady sailor merchant by the name of Han Solo to help get her back. Along their journey luke decides, after hearing horror stories of Anakin from Han, that the pirate had murdered his parents and quietly swears revenge.
Anakin is uninterested getting a ransom for Leia but she convinces him not to kill her or throw her overboard. Anakin agrees and puts her to work. During her time on the pirate vessel Leia discovers a portrait of her mother in Anakin's cabin. She doesn't tell him because "story"
When Luke and Han finally catch up to Anakin's ship and retrieve Leia, luke tries to take advantage of a sleeping Anakin but gets half beaten to death several times over before escaping.
Being a pirate, Anakin swears vengeance on Luke.
Then more stuff happens but this text box isn't big enough for the entire synopsis. Bottom line, this could make for some awesome fanfiction, so much so that I've decided to write the prologue.
