s + comments there.An old wife in the foreground, a school of long-finned pike (and one yellowfin scud having a serious identity crisis by hanging out with fish that are normally one of his chief predators, try to spot him) in the background. Edited a little to bring out the colours more in photostudio (cheaper, crapper version of photoshop).

Nice photo. I feel that it could be even better if you added a simple black border, and many cropped it to be a bit more center. If you were going for the off center look then it will definitely look more defined with the use of a border.

I love this photo, it has a very nice feel to it.
As for editing, have you heard of GIMP? It's a free program that has a lot of features that photoshop does. It takes a little getting used to, but it's pretty good.

Yep, I've heard of and have and use GIMP, problem is my PC is so slow it takes ages to do anything with it.

is the yellow scud the fish under the old wife's fins??!? i hope it is cause the colour looks a bit darker and the shape of its tail is different

Er...not sure exactly what you mean. I used a camera in a waterproof case, no flash, macro mode and took about six shots of this bunch of fish, this was the best one, edited the colours to more like their real ones (camera doesn't get white balance quite right underwater) in photostudio, a cheaper and crappier version of photoshop.

i've been wanting to learn how underwater photography goes. i'd love to be able to do that some day. *__*
