|Patient|Calm|Aloof|Faithful|Warmhearted|Reliable|Comfortable|Difficult|Grudgeholder||
Sakari has a patience of gold, something that has come in handy dealing with hot-tempered students
at the academy. He has a very calm approach and many would call him aloof for not showing much
emotion, always staying tidy with an indifferent facial expression.
While keeping an emotional distance to his students he is very warmhearted towards close friends and
family, always ready to help his dear ones. He’s reliable both professionally and in private, staying out
of the things that doesn’t concern him but is ready to lend you an ear if you want to share a secret
that stays between them.
To none family members however Sakari appears as a bit grumpy and falls under the category of being
a difficult man to deal with, partly because he rarely speak his mind and you will have to force words out
of him to get an idea of his oppinions. Another reason making him difficult to deal with is that he holds
grudges. You could say he collects them and is ready to bring one out from the closet whenever he feel like it.
History:
Sakari grew up alongside his cousin Jalil and spent the first years in the Bedouin camp where they both
originate from. Following in each other’s footsteps Sakari, just like his cousin, started out at the Tusa
military academy after they left the desert and moved to settle in the city. The only thing separating
them was their choice of lifestyle; while Jalil chose the life of a traveling mercenary Sakari stayed in
Tusa instructing swordsmanship at the academy.
Sakari has always been standing in the shadow of his cousin, just how he likes it; he doesn’t like
attention from the public and never went down the same road with women as Jalil did. He enjoyed
the more peaceful lifestyle, staying in Tusa instead of traveling across Alva. But despite the many
differences between the two they’ve always stayed close, sharing the same humor and the closeness
now when they are the only ones remaining in Tusa from their old family from the Bedouin camp.
Aside from teaching at the Military academy Sakari is bearer of the title Efendi within Banu Al Sarha’a,
a faction of mounted mercenaries, and thus entitled to train their apprentices. He is and has been
associated with the faction from birth just like his cousin as both families have been deeply rooted in
it ever since its formation and just like any other member of Banu al Sarha’a he is loyal to the desert
and the city of Tusa.
Stationed in Tusa by choice Sakari often declined invites to follow on missions outside the desert border.
One of these times he regrets deeply and blames himself for being too comfortable not to go on with his
cousin this very time he was asked. This one time Jalil asked him personally to come with him, but per
usual Sakari declined only to hear a few weeks later his cousin had been critically injured. Jalil survived
his injuries but was permanently marked with a busted back and an amputated left forearm. Sakari
blames himself for not have been there at that moment when it all happened, maybe it would have
made a different to his dear cousin or maybe even could have prevented it all from happening.
Additional info:
- Sakari’s right ear was sliced during a raid towards a band of bandits.
- He doesn’t like speaking of his private life outside of family and close friends; he prefers to keep that sort
of things just like that, private.
