Fifty-seventh page of my Star Wars OC AU fan comic thing!

As Isabelle and co. prepare to make their getaway from Da'hren and the Di'alga system Imperial forces move to intercept, at the helm of a Raider-class Corvette Colonel Ral contemplates what success might mean for his military career, and his odds against this rebel group...

Whew! Sorry this took so long, I finished it about three days ago, but due to tiredness/carelessness the page ended up folded and had a massive crease, so it's spent the past three days under two huge stacks of books in order to flatten the crease out, and thankfully it is almost completely gone, certainly doesn't show up on the scan, which is the most important, heh, I was terrified that I'd have to draw it again from scratch, and don't get me started on colouring those damned stars again, yeesh!!

Anyhow there's a fair bit going on in this piece, alluding to certain as yet unknown characters (well unknown to you guys), as well as Di'alga's Military and Political structure, interestingly enough Ral's Rank, Colonel, is not a Navy Rank, don't worry, that's not a mistake, but that's all I'm saying for now... Also for those interested in the events mentioned by Ral's Lieutenant who haven't read it already you can read it here, SW: The Choices We Make , this awesome story by SlingBlade87 is pretty much the prequel to The First Farewell and the catalyst for Isabelle's rebellion, you should definitely check it out!

For some time I was pondering as to the ships that Isabelle's group would encounter when leaving Da'hren, I knew that there would be another engagement, but I didn't know the size, for context they don't know about the rebel attack, just that their barracks on Da'hren has gone dark, they think it's likely interference from J'hen, but there is the possibility of rebel activity following the incident on Mus a month prior, it was difficult trying to find that balance, though I know from the get go that I wanted to use an Imperial Raider because I adore it's design, as for the Gozanti Tie-carriers it's one of the concepts from SW:Rebels that I think was done right, a way to deploy a small number of Ties when a huge carrier isn't needed, and for investigating communications blackout a Gladiator would have been a massive waste if it had turned out to be just interference.
Also helps that I have scale models of both of these ships, thanks to Fantasy Flight's X-Wing Miniatures series, the best references you could hope for!
