DMT refers to di-methyl-tryptamine, a powerful psychedelic contained in certain plants, but also occurs naturally in the human brain. i find it humorous that it's illegal when we are all in possession of it at all times.

i've never experienced it personally, but the reports i've read reminded me of this, or vice versa.

DMT? Hmm. I guess it's just a matter of, too much of a good thing? I mean, too much oxygen will kill the brain too. Humans sometimes are too stupid and or too rebellious to know how to deal with things, so laws are generated. Tryptophan? Isn't that the after-Thanksgiving turkey-feast meat aka natural drug that induces sleep? How is that related to DMT? They sell otc tryptophan to help sleeping. Me confused.

tryptamines and tryptophans aren't the same class of chemicals. they may be related, but they have different effects on the brain.
