Description
Ok, well this is my first proper piece of art since gaining my new computer and guys, I am super proud as this was drawn from scratch on SAI (as my scanner isn't set up yet) with a mouse. It has taken me a total of 10 hours to complete from start to finish oh and I made myself a lovely simple little signature too.
So onto the most important info.

Story:
A new dawn was approaching and Cliffords' eyes lazily started to open. Blinking away the dust and dirt from his eyes his raised himself up from the ground, making sure he was steady on his hooves before shaking off the aches and pains of the uncomfortable night sleep.
"Where am I?" he thought to himself. Unsure of his surroundings, he left the grove where he stayed the night and set out to find some familiar ground.
Walking and walking, for miles brought no light to where he was or where he would end up. "I must find something soon...........will I be lost forever?" Continuing on ahead, he forged his way through thick undergrowth and through forests, and across deserts and boggy marshes. Still he saw nothing he recognised.
Worry began to creep in. Stress, forcing him to shake and shudder even though he didn't feel a chill. About to give up hope he saw a creature of his species in a field behind a solid looking fence. A new spurt of energy was bestowed upon him, and away he flew, encroaching faster and faster on the mystery horse. Mere inches from his destination, the horse and the fencing vanished before his eyes.
"WHYYY?" Clifford shouted out. Giving up he flopped to the floor, landing on cacti and sharp rocks, nicking and slicing into his skin. Tears started to flow freely from his eyes, splashing down upon the desert where he laid. He knew he was going to die here. He knew that his last minutes on earth would be in a place, he knew nothing of, without the people he loved the most surrounding him and keeping him safe.
Soon after these revelations he drifted off to sleep, thinking he would not wake up the next day. As a huge relief to him, he did. Rising from the ground he set off once more. Heading into the unknown, searching for food and water. Days and days passed him by in a blur, despair sinking in more, his mental state about to crack and crumble around him.
Losing the will to forge on, he started to slow, his progress dwindling to nothing. The last day of his fight, he found a beautiful willow tree he decided to lay under, gentle eating the leaves on the ground around him. He closed his eyes for the very last time.............
And then he woke up from a shocking and horrifying dream. Sweating and panting, he looked around his stall and noticed his food and water, his bed and toys scattered about as if a tornado swept in and ransacked the place. Gathering himself, he glanced over to his stable door, and noticed humans watching him, a man with a box ready to open the open the latch and step inside to help. But help with what? He was fine, he just had a nightmare.
Getting up he walked over to the door, and let the many humans outside stroke and pet him, knowing it would reassure them that he is in good health and he is fine. Retreating back into the small square, he paced around thinking of ways he could possibly help get things back to normal.
Surely enough, while the humans were keeping a close eye on him, he started first by picking up his feed bucket, noticing that he never ate his nightly meal before the horrible ordeal, and placed it down near the door. Collecting and depositing his toys and treats, his placed them into the empty feed bucket. Next he set about scraping the bedding back into place the best he could.
Although it was dishevelled and rather roughly strewn about, his bed was back in place and the stall was looking neater. There was nothing more he could do to help out, but he did eat the feed from the floor, making sure to eat and enjoy every last mouthful.
The one thing he was thankful for, was that he didn't knock over his water bowls. That would have been a disaster and it would have made such a mess, that he would feel guiltier than he did now. After his food, he walked into the centre of his stall among the straw and sawdust mix, he circled a few times. He knew that he would not have that dream again tonight, and that he could finish off the rest of his night in peace and rest in peace he did.
The humans outside his stall sighed with relief and returned to their own beds, they too knew they could sleep easily tonight.
