For this entry in our Inktober countdown to Halloween, we are joining the herd and featuring Napoleon, the despotic pig of George Orwell's 'Animal Farm.' Published at the end of World War II and the beginning of the Cold War, 'Animal Farm' is an allegorical novella about the rise of Bolshevism and the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. In this political fable, after the plucky beasts of burden wrest control of the farm from their abusive human master, Mr. Jones, the duplicitous and avaricious pigs take his place, calling to mind the old phrase, 'meet the new boss, same as the old boss.'
