Name...Feugo
Gender...Stallion
Color...dark (almost grullo) grey
History...(sorry if it's long, hehe, I had fun...this actually does fit into the movie )
Feugo was born into the herd a few months after Spirit was. They grew up together and frolicked along with the two other foals born after them. As they grew, so did their friendships. Even after Spirit took on the role of lead stallion of their herd, Feugo and Spirit were good friends, but it was time for Feugo to move on and become a bachelor.
So he parted from his beloved herd and friend and went out in search for a mare. Months passed with no luck and he found himself at the dawn of winter, lonely and homesick. One day he wandered a bit too close to a settlement camp and was captured by a few cowboys. Feugo didn't put up much of a fight, because of his poor state (cold and lonely). He was put into a corral surrounded by tents. There was one other old, bay stallion penned with him. He was at least glad for the company.
A few uneventful weeks passed by. Feugo was well taken care of, but not happy. One day a huge train appeared on the tracks in the camp. He watched it smoke and whistle to a halt. Men walked to the wooden boxcars with ropes in their hands. He watch the men lead horses from the boxcars and up the dirt path in front of his corral. One by one they went by, horses from the many different horses on the Cimarron. But there was one he recognized. It took a moment for Feugo to realize that it was Spirit! He whinnied, trying to get his old friend's attention, but he must not of heard him.
A few hours later a man came into the pen and slipped a rope halter on him and led him out of the corral and up the dirt path. He was led past a tying post where he saw Spirit again tied up by some Indian horses. He whinnied a "Hello Friend!" and Spirit nickerd back as another man came and untied him and his Indian buddies. Feugo, Spirit and the others were led to the front of a huge Steamer. They were harnessed and hooked up to it, along with hundreds of other horses.
They pulled the steamer up a slope, and as they reached the top, Feugo saw Spirit drop the ground. As he was being pulled away by the mules, he woke up and kicked himself free, jumped up and with a few hard kicks freed all the horses harnessed to the Steamer, including Feugo. Without the support of the horses, the Steamer began to fall backwards down the slope. Feugo watched as Spirit dodged behind it, running for his life from the steamer falling down the hill towards him.
Feugo began to run after him, but stopped short and just hoped that his friend could get out of it's way before it crushed him. With the harness dangling from his back, he turned away and followed the other horses down the slope the other way. That was the last he had seen of Spirit since and his search for a mare continues.
