I wanted to see Naruto's reaction to the fact that Karin is the last living member of his clan so much. If Sasuke ever told him that, I imagine he would have rushed to her and squeezed her in the biggest bear hug ever, no matter her shock and protest.

Karin is actually a very complex character, MUCH more than meets the eye - but it indeed requires patience and investment in carefully reading 'underneath the underneath' of the manga to be able to see her as infinitely more than just some comic relief gal

I would have liked to see more development of her. I never disliked her, she had caught my eye sometimes 
If Kishimoto would have thought more on the other characters... you can think on million of good 'fillers' for the anime, and alternate stories to the manga based on many cool characters! Karin being one of them >_<

It is, indeed! Although I doubt [in the light of skyscraperized #700] a new ninja/whatevs hidden village might be actually necessary in that new kind of world...
But otherwise - yes, this idea is definitely intriguing [rather, ideas: all of them] - from Karin learning about her true heritage [let alone her relation to Naruto], to some real rebuilding of that place [wherever it was? I got the impression Uzushiogakure was at some seaside...?

true but we can dream, well the ruin of Uzushio were located somewhere in wave country (formerly whirlpool country) so woyld be surprised it located near beach or shore. And hey she might start a totally new concept for a village
