MM so lovely! I love the colors and textures, as usual! Do you use any photo textures in your work or just brushes? o:

Thank you, I'm glad you like! and yeah, i use a combo of both. I'm starting to use brushes more for actual texturing, since I have more control, and photo textures more so as color adjustment type things.

Very cool! Where do you like finding your photo textures? do you make your own brushes?

Well I'm experimenting with a lot of things right now, but here are some sites I usually go to:Β lostandtaken.com/ ikedabarry.com/InkTex/ www.deluzions.net/blog/
Lately I've been trying to make my stuff look more like it's painted on canvas, so I usually just search for large images of canvas with underpainting or toning already (like this th09.deviantart.net/fs15/PRE/i⦠), it's more interesting imo.
As for brushes, I don't really make any, although I'd like to start if I have the time to experiment. I've found a lot of really good sets fromΒ digitalbrushes.tumblr.com/ and I've kind of just put together my own from there. I've also got Kyle's megapackΒ gumroad.com/l/HKgA ,and I really enjoy a lot of the brushes from there, and the oil mixer brushes changed my life lol, but you can easily replicate it yourself with photoshops built in mixer brushes. Β I also recently download a set of brushes that are really just stamps of different brushstrokes and such, and im trying to figure out how to incorporate that natural spontaneity into my work. so basically just try a bunch of different stuff, and keep what you like!!
aaaaaaaaaaa I hope that helps!Β

I'm glad!! and kind of the same thing, I always did digital but once I started oil painting I fell in love with it, and now all I do is try to get the same effect lol. And thank you, I actually didn't know that site, but it looks like they have an amazing selection!
