Well, the good news is that this was a temporary size change. The bad news is that Daphne's still not letting me off the hook.

In other news, wandering into other continuities oh god what could this mean. (The answer is that none of this is canon and it's just a stupid little story so I can practice drawing.)

So here's Pix, looking more mega-mondo-sized than usual, but the camera's just in close so hey! I'm trying out my fancy new pencils this time, doing outlines, basic shapes, and shading in the softer lead and using the harder for outlines and such. I figured Pix wouldn't give me much grief since I already have a reference for her, and I love size inversion scenarios anyway. Bottom wings are coming in at kind of a funny angle, which is something I'll have to remember for next time.

Also, colors! I'm not really good with the fancy colored pencils in my art kit yet, so I mostly used a few basic Crayola ones. THING I LEARNED: these fancy pencils smudge (on purpose) and look like dog shit when you run a cheap colored pencil over them. Important life lessons!

Also a tiny (heh) shout-out to with Pix's coffee of choice. I probably wouldn't care for it anyway--Pix is the only fairy I've ever seen who doesn't like sugar. Nothing fancy in her coffee. BLACK.

Hope you get a kick out of this anyway--I'm still learning, but I do welcome feedback and tips from better artists than me (which is most of you)!
