Passable Traits: Wings 100%, Control over lightning 20%, Coloration 10% (can also pass on a teal-white color or an iridescent teal color). Most of the time, rather than pass on his color, he'll just pass on a single outrageous color (usually blue, teal, green or yellow) and the horse will have a predominate amount of that color. Seasonal dappling 20%. He will never pass on his seasonal personality.

Personality: Wise beyond his years, this stallion cannot remember much of his past from before the island and he has been here since he was a colt. All he can remember is that his mother's name is Aganippe. He is strong, well-built and his mind is just as stable. Despite his lack of a memory, he's a calm animal and he is very gentle. His main downfalls is that he tends to over-analyze, his mind racing a million miles a minute. His astrology sign is Gemini which has always made him think that out there he has a twin and will someday seek him or her out, but really, this is unfounded for the most part except for his scattering of barely remembered memories.
The most interesting part of his personality is that as he grows lighter in the spring (his coat that is), his mood lightens considerably too. He grows happy and restless often wanting to be on the move. He's optimistic and entertaining, even to the point of show-offish and flashy. He's lighter, more flattering and almost chatty. However, as the season changes, his coat and mood grow darker as the days grow shorter and colder. By winter, he's nearly a dark teal and he's curmudgeony and even curt. He's sensitive and avoids people most of the time, shunning contact with all but true pegasi and Tariel (or Abathia) during this time.
History: He doesn't remember his history much, but he has been on the island for about 12 years. He arrived as a foal. He doesn't know why his attitude is the way it is or the reason why his moods change. What I can tell you is that there are several dark elements in his past (see the dark-pegasus blood). Even now, despite his amiablity, he is often spoken of in fear. He works with magics that are older and darker than most would see as safe. Most of the other animals are unsettled by his dark dealings, especially when he deals with the creature reputed to be his dam.

"Aganippe the Night-Mare. A dark female winged horse which pre-dates Pegasus said to be "the mare who destroys mercifully." Some say she was actually an aspect of the Earth-goddess Demeter (Ceres) in a lunar depiction where she punished the evil with dreams of terror (possibly an alliterative form of the English word "agony" which refers to 'intense mental or physical pain'). Despite this trait, her name actually means "the Gentle Mare" which recalls that, when she was not carrying out some form of retribution, she was very good natured. A possible origin to this aspect of the usually good-natured Demeter is derived from her rape at the hands of her brother Poseidon. After fleeing his advances and transforming into a mare, and while still mounted by the similarly transformed Sea-god, she fled in humiliation and outrage from Olympus. Taking on the aspect of a Fury, she was also called Erinnys. Finally, Zeus intervened and convinced her to return to Olympus. According to another version, Aganippe was actually one of the resultant offspring sired from the union of Poseidon and Demeter, and that she and her brother (in the form of a pterocentaur) birthed the race of Magnete centaurs. There is something beyond fantasy here. This is a mystical land just for you. If you like something real or mundane, Stephanie creates stunning domestic and wild animals. She studies biology and has a love of the ocean and wild animals. Horses, wolves, foxes, ponies, deer, dogs, cats, panthers, lions, fish, tigers and other creatures are some of the animals she draws. Stephanie Small is an artist located in California but she has spent time all over Oregon. Nature is an influential inspiration to Stephanie, as she seeks to augment and reflect what she sees around her in a variety of mediums. Inspired by medieval art, the fantasy and science fiction genre and more, Stephanie has developed a style of mythical realism. Stephanie uses a variety of styles and mixed mediums in her artwork. She regularly uses digital mediums such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter and more. She favors traditional mediums such as colored pencil, chalk, pen, ink, pencil, acrylic, watercolor. She has been known to adapt fabric, recycled art, recycled purses to create art that is both useful and stylish.
Stephanie has been interviewed and featured in several magazines and websites. Her artwork has been published several times in books and magazines. She is best known for artwork featured in publications such as the Page, the Twisted Vine, the Unicorn and others. Her artwork will be featured on the cover of several upcoming books and publications.
She often donates teaching, administrative assistance, research and artwork to many local non-profits. She has taught in-person and online classes on food preservation, writing, gardening, spirituality, unicorns, art and more. She has worked for (and with) the local government to initiate youth projects, senior events and business support.
Stephanie loves unicorns and the horses she grew up with. It is clear in her art. She also loves mermaids. She even has a set of mermaid fins she can swim in. Stephanie Small finds inspiration in the animals of the ocean such as whales, orcas, narwhals and dolphins.
