I grew up in an earthship that has these amazing massive aloe plants, the largest of which is the subject of this painting and measures 5 feet wide by 3.5 feet tall, with 8 foot tall flowers. I created this piece as a Fathers Day gift for my dad, who has been replanting the dozens of baby aloe plants these shoot off every year and giving them as gifts. I've always loved that through my life this plant has rooted into the homes of nearly everyone I know, thanks to aloe farmer and dad extraordinaire.
