The darkness/ tentacles just so happen to be Dark Gaia. It's trying to taint Sonic and turn him into one of his own minions. Simple? Simply.

Very first Contest entry. I like it. Though I feel I could have done better some how. It was fun to make nevertheless. Anyone else find the Werehog's face could be a bit difficult to draw?
