Description I actually did this over a year ago for my drawing 2 class - the assignment was 'boom, bang, ouch' . . . we had to illustrate those words. Well . . . I kinda did. Kinda.

Anyway, its kinda inspired by kingdom hearts . . . kinda. Or something. Took a picture of it because its huuuuge (2x3 feet? Something like that.)

Whoo! This belongs to meeeee! (toberu is 'to fly')

Holy moly, for 1+ years ago, this is fantastic. Especially the trail of light from the wand and the way it's semi-transparent, it gives the whole piece a sense of movement. The light from the character and the dimly lit enemy gives it a lot of light-dark contrast, and also gives the picture a very "good vs evil final battle" feel, if that makes sense. The folds and color of the clothes is also catching my eye, in a good way, quite a bit. I really love this.

I did get a lot of help from my prof on this one (a professional illustrator - ron mazellan) He's helped me out quite a lot on several of my pieces, and they always look 1000x better (the pirate one, for example)

Wow. That's awesome. It looks very glowy. Actually it made me think of Harry Potter rather than Kingdom Hearts.

This is amazing, especially for a traditional piece. <3 I love how you did the lighting and the dark clouds in the background... @w@

people say that, but until 10, 15 years ago, all art was done traditionally.

Yay! Traditional art makes me happy! To me there isn't enough of it circulating around the net nowdays!! So I suppose that's one reason I always liked your work!! What types of mediums did you use on this? It looks like some combination of marker and paint to me, but I'm typically pretty bad at telling nowdays...

The colors are absolutely amazing, I have to say! I love how vivid it is!

ah! I totally forgot to say! The characters are both done with microns and marker (see that little one on the left?), the background is done with watercolor, and there is colored pencil hilights on the clouds. I thats everything.
