As the week progresses it is a long-honored tradition to leave bouquets at the roots of the Great Wisteria to pay their respects to the legend.
These bouquets are filled with one’s favorite flowers or other plants that may hold a special meaning.
Many believe that leaving these offerings imbues the tree with new strength as it has consumed its energy blooming through winter to keep the land healthy.
It’s not uncustomary for a person to make a wish as they place their offering.
