I used to shoot a lot of film and I loved the balance of the grainy/grittiness and the softness of the pose/skin. Then I fell into the digital trap. I haven't been real happy with it.
So, I re-bought a medium format camera and I am planning to go back into film.

What's seems nice about digital is you can delete the photos you don't want, but it's always kinda exciting not knowing what you've got until you pick them up too!

That's true. Digital let's you see right then what you have, but film gives a photograph a feel to it.
I think film slows you down when shooting and makes you really look at the scene while shooting. You have to know what it is you are looking for in your head first.
And it allows you a lot of varation with film/chemical/paper choice in the darkroom. You can shoot the same film and change developers and get a totally different look.

Classic beauty! This shot could have been taken in the 30's or 40's with a TLR. Some dark smokey Jazz playing on a record player in the background. I really enjoy your photography! I love how you set the mood and the era, very cool.
Have you ever considered doing any 1940's Pin-Up type photos? I think Charlie would be a perfect Pin-Up model, in the Esquire/George Petty/Alberto Vargas style. Of course Charlie would have to smile
