Aaaand another contest! XP This is my entry for 's guardian contest. We had to design a dragon based on a gemstone, with pupil-less eyes and a shape on his or her chest. So here's who I came up with!

When I was thinking of gemstones, my first choice was sapphire (my birthstone), but 's original guardian character was already a sapphire, so that was a no-no. My next choice was a quartz dragon, but had already submitted an amethyst entry, and I didn't want to steal her thunder. So I went for my third-favorite gemstone--topaz! It's so pretty and sparkly, and it comes in so many great colors! Guys, be very afraid--all girls are magpies at heart. We like the pretty shinies.

So here's Cüraz--male guardian, yellow topaz body with blue topaz markings and fire topaz wings. (His name has the little dots over the U, really, but DA wouldn't let me put it in the title. XC It's pronounced "CURE-az") Also, if you're wondering, fire topaz really is dark blue-green with flecks of purple--it's really lovely) He has blue eyes and a blue shield symbol on his chest.

Ok, that's enough for now because I just realized what time it is. (Duh-hurr-hurr-hurr ) I'll post a journal tomorrow (uh...later today ) saying what's up. And May's gryphon, for those of you who are interested, is coming along very nicely indeed and should be done in a few days, along with a couple other things I've been working on. See yas!
