Description i was attracted to the texture of the log. wear and tear done by the ocean and the wind. i captured it without my friend on the background. it looked bare and boring. i wanted to capture the details of the log so i asked my friend if she can frolic around in front of it. i was satisfied with the composition. i then cross-processed it and i was even more satisfied.

No problem at all!

Technically all photos have a certain depth of field, I'm not sure to understand what you mean.

As for the category it all depends what you think the focus is on, I would have put this picture in "emotive portrait" because of the way you put the girl far in the background, and focusing on an "insignificant" object.

I read it as the insignificance of a human being, but that's my vision

interesting shot anyway !

i like the way you think. to recall, it's more on how we turn our backs and what's left behind. i was at the beach. nature, humans, usage, neglect, global warming sort of thing.

thank you for your insights.
